What to Wear:
Base Uniform:
As a minimum, students must wear the below prescribed base uniform to all classes, which can be purchased through dance stores and department stores. Dancers can layer Bom Funk branded dance wear onto these uniform basics. Plain studio colours red and royal blue can also be added. Bom Funk uniform can be purchased directly through our online store or at the Front Desk at Queanbeyan. Only approved footwear can be used to protect our specialised dance floors.

Style Specific Requirements:
Dance Kingdom Classes
Comfortable clothing that will allow easy movement. Tutus and non restrictive/soft costumes are welcome.
Bom Funk uniform option: Dance Kingdom tutu (NEW) or baseball tee (limited stock remaining)
Shoes:
Dragonfly Dance/Baby Bees: Bare feet, socks or ballet shoes – please do not wear jiffies as these are slippery. Visit our Qbn Front desk for recommend ballet shoe fitting and purchase.
Ballet Bunnies: Pink Ballet shoes (black for boys)– please do not wear jiffies as these are slippery. Visit our Qbn Front desk for recommended ballet shoe fitting and purchase.
Rhythm Rhinos: Black tap shoes (available from Bloch or Attitude Australia).
Hiphop-o-potamus: Inside-only sneakers or High tops for class use only. All-Black canvas shoes (black soles & black laces) for all performances.

Jazz, Musical Theatre, JFH
Singlet/Crop and leggings/hot shorts or leotard with skirt. Boys: Stretch pants or shorts.
Bom Funk uniform option: Bom Funk singlet & Bom Funk or black leggings/shorts (Bom Funk crop/shorts or FiFi leotard)
Exam students: Exam students: Bom Funk Black & White leotard with black hot shorts. Tan stockings. More info on exams.
No loose clothing.
Black jazz shoes - preferred style: S0485 Bloch slipstream
For performances – Tan stockings may be required. Can be purchased from Bom Funk Boutique.
Hair tied back.
Ballet - Primary Academy
Black Leotard & skirt with pink tights or pink socks with optional black skirt. Boys: singlet or boy’s leotard with ballet leggings or shorts.
Exam students: Bom Funk Black & White leotard with black wrap skirt. Pink tights required for performances and exams (optional for classes). More info on exams.
No loose clothing.
Recommended: MDM Intrinsic Canvas ballet flats with elastics. Visit our Qbn Front desk for fitting and purchase. Ribbons may be required for exams and some performances.
Boys: Black ballet flat (black jazz shoes may be worn for newcomers)
Hair in a bun.
Ballet - Senior Academy

Black chorus shoes with 2 inch heels and ankle strap - preferred styles: S0306 - Bloch cabaret women’s stage shoe
For performances – tan stockings and tan fishnet tights (occasionally black fishnet tights requested instead).

Tap
Baseball Tee, T-shirt, singlet or leotard with leggings/shorts/track pants or skirt.
Exam students: Bom Funk NEW Black & White leotard with black hot shorts. More info on exams.

Acro/Aerial/Circus
Singlet/crop or leotard & leggings/hot shorts. No loose clothing. Boys: Stretch pants or shorts.

Aerial - students may wish to wear tight long sleeves to protect their arms.
Cheer
Bom Funk Cheer Uniform or approved attire suitable for acro.

INSIDE-ONLY cheer sneakers may be worn in class so as not to dirty the cheer floor!
All-White tennis shoes/sneakers (white soles & white laces) and white ankle socks (school sock/mid calf) are required for all performances. These can be purchased from Kmart or Big W.

Hair tied back into high pony tail.
