Tap Kix is Canberra’s powerhouse Pro/Am tap crew — delivering precision, passion and electrifying rhythm to every stage. Made up of professional and semi-professional dancers, the crew shares one undeniable obsession: TAP.
Known for their high-energy routines, strong musicality and funky “street feet” beats, Tap Kix engages audiences across Canberra and Queanbeyan with performances that are bold, entertaining and impossible to ignore. Blending traditional tap technique with modern street influences, the crew creates a dynamic and theatrical experience that always draws a crowd.
Tap Kix was established in 2013 by professional dancer and educator Kym Degenhart, owner of Bom Funk Dance Studio. Under her direction, the crew has grown into the only Pro/Am Tap specialist performance crew currently performing in the ACT and Queanbeyan region.

In 2021, Tap Kix joined Kix Arts Productions, a local professional commercial dance company providing cabaret and commercial entertainment for functions, events and venues.

Our Style
Tap Kix performances are designed to entertain, excite and captivate audiences. The crew loves experimenting with rhythm and sound — pushing creative boundaries while maintaining the strong technical foundation of traditional tap.
Choreography is created by Kym Degenhart and Tap Kix members and can be tailored to suit specific themes, styles or event requirements.
Plus — we bring our own tap boards, so staging is never a problem. We BYO stage!
